Hey, I'm Fab.
First off, thanks so much for stopping by to check out some of the exciting work I've done in my career! It's truly an honour and humbling experience to share my work with amazing people and amazing organizations. The goal of this portfolio is meant to give you a glance into some of the work I've done, and continue to do throughout my career. I wish I could share it all, but a glance into key highlights will give you a good sense of what I enjoy and what skills I can bring to the table. Enjoy and thank you!
Fabio
Here's a bit of my work.
2013
This is where it all started for me. I was fortunate to launch and write for one of the top Personal Finance Blogs in Canada as voted on by Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, Financial Post and Wealthsimple. This was also my first experience in the world of marketing and media and being featured on CHCH Morning Live News was a great experience. The Millennial targeted blog was called MoneyOnTrees and was run during my time employed by FirstOntario Credit Union leading out on their corporate social media strategy.

For the last decade I've been speaking on topics like marketing, sales, social media, community building, leadership, financial literacy and more through conferences, webinars and face to face at College and Universities across the province. 2017
With FirstOntario, we partnered with The CFL's Hamilton Tiger Cats to become the Official Financial Institution. As the Partnership lead, I provided design expertise in the Community Activations and new construction of branded properties onsite at Tim Hortons Field.
The Community Lounge – Located on level 2 of the east side stands at Tim Hortons Field, the FirstOntario Community Lounge is a free-to-access fan-oriented space designed to deliver fans a comfortable area to enjoy food and beverage while still engaging in the Tim Hortons Field social experience. The lounge features a 40-foot-wide community and fan image collage that celebrates Tiger-Cats fans and FirstOntario Members showcasing their team and Hamilton pride. I oversaw all activation opportunities in the Lounge space leading to more than 500 new customers per season.
The FirstOntario Members Suite Level – This transformational new suite level experience highlights the cultural touch points of the “Best of Hamilton” to showcase local art, music and food which are all part of the Tiger-Cats and FirstOntario Credit Union’s commitment to giving back to the communities they operate in. To further enhance the experience, the new FirstOntario Members Suite Level provides an added layer of entertainment with gathering spaces and social areas programmed with high-end interactive games and a re-imagined menu that integrates Hamilton-inspired specialty items.
Storyboarded and post produced Co-Branded Debit Card with Wide Receiver Luke Tasker of the Hamilton Tiger Cats. (Also was made an appearance several times throughout promotional video - couldn't help it.
Won a Top 40 Under 40 Business Achievement Award for the work I was doing in Marketing and Partnerships and was featured in The Hamilton Spectator (The Largest Publication in the city).
2017- Present
I run a consulting practice and online coaching business teaching entrepreneurs and experts how to use LinkedIn to build their brand, scale a community and generate sales. I also coach on how to monetize your expertise using online courses. I've built a community from 0 - 30,000 people on LinkedIn and generated over 10 million post and video views on the platform. I've been mentioned in top publications like Forbes and Social Media Examiner and was listed by Jay Shetty (one of the most viewed creators in the world) as a must-follow on LinkedIn. I also have a division called Expert Altitude where I coach high performing entrepreneurs in my Facebook group and share content on how scale your business using organic methods on social media.

Launched my own LinkedIn bootcamp for Credit Union Professionals and Leaders in the United States, UK and Australia (excluded Canada).
2019-2021
As the Director of Community Experience at Meridian Credit Union (Canada's 2nd largest cooperative financial institution), I've had the joy to help build strategy and lead a team to drive sales and Member activations from in person events, sponsored venues and community engagement initiatives. I was tasked with leading Meridian's key strategic corporate and community partners and responsible for the implementation strategy of both the Sony Centre and Toronto Centre for the Arts naming rights conversion to Meridian Hall and Meridian Arts Centre working on all signage and benefits outlined in the $30.75 million, 15 year agreement. I managed the marketing and sponsored venue partnership of 9 named properties across Ontario.
At Meridian Hall, we transformed the space to include a brand new designed VIP Lounge, Community Lounge, Interactive Kiosk and Branch Activation Space. All strategy and design of each space I lead out on as well as all customer acquisition and activation leading to 220 new Members and more than $10.5 million in new pipeline business, while also growing our online pipeline of leads through data collection and nurture/sales campaigns using email marketing.
Original space for the Meridian Community Lounge and my creative vision. Sketched out on floor planner 3D.
While in the role of Director, Community Experience we ran a month long giving campaign company wide leading up to Giving Tuesday in December. The goal of the campaign was to show the power of small collective giving in increments of $5 and $10. We filmed the giving live in action in our 91 locations across Ontario and finished the campaign totalling more than $60,000 and impacting the lives of 8000+ people. Given my video marketing background I also hired and storyboarded the vision for the video which was watched more than 130,000 times on our Facebook channel.
I was proud to bring forward the first ever 2020 Community Spirit Awards in Niagara - an award campaign showcasing the hidden heroes in our communities who worked both tirelessly and selflessly, simply for the betterment of all of us during the COVID-19 pandemic. We surprised each individual recipient and small business with an award in person and recorded the full day experience (I was the host).
2021-PRESENT
As the Director of Product Innovation, our team has developed dozens of
concepts to serve Members, provide a positive impact on our planet, aim to solve for
housing affordability for Canadians, and partner with Fintechs to create new innovative
solutions. Our team most recently launched through the impact of partnership
innovation a product that solves a glaring need for Canadians – a will.
By partnering with two of Canada’s leading online will providers, Meridian Members can
now complete a legal will online in as little as 20 minutes for a fraction of the cost of
going to a lawyer and at a Member discount price. More than 57.6% of Canadians don’t have a will and estate plan in place. As a Credit Union, it’s our mandate to help our Members achieve their best life – but we also wanted to ensure they protected it without feeling the financial burden of making that purchase decision.
Launching in January 2023, Meridian became the first Credit Union in the country to offer an online will service to its Members!
